The Limits of Lovable for Mobile Monetization
Lovable ships your project as a Vite + React web app, published to a lovable.app subdomain or your own domain, with the code mirrored to GitHub. That is a website. App Store Connect only accepts a signed native binary, and Apple's guideline 4.2 rejects apps that are a website in a native app with no native behaviour.
Getting a Lovable app onto the App Store is a different problem from building it. Even with a working product, you're looking at:
- A Mac, Xcode, and an Apple Developer account. Capacitor and Fastlane help, but you still own the build pipeline.
- App Store Connect listings. Screenshots at 6 device sizes, ASO copy, privacy nutrition labels, age ratings.
- Apple Review. The first submission is rejected ~40% of the time — usually for Guideline 4.2 (minimum functionality) or 5.1.1 (privacy).
- Re-submission and reviewer dialogue. Each round is 24–48h. Three rounds is normal. Six is not unheard of.
None of this is what you wanted to be doing.
How to Implement App Store Publishing in Lovable using Wanilla
Wanilla takes your published Lovable URL, or the GitHub repo it syncs to, and builds a native Swift client around it with real device capabilities, configured for your Apple Developer account, ready for you to submit from your own account through App Store Connect. Your Lovable project stays the source of truth: you keep shipping in Lovable and the listed app follows.
Wanilla is the guided launch partner for Lovable apps. We help you with the entire App Store path: native binary, listing, submission preparation, and reviewer dialogue.
What the engagement looks like:
- Native iOS binary built around your Lovable frontend — no Xcode, Fastlane, or Mac required on your side.
- App Store Connect listing: screenshots at every device size, ASO-optimised copy, privacy labels, age rating.
- Submission preparation, and we help you respond to Guideline 4.2 and 5.1.1 pushback (the two most common rejections for AI-built apps).
- Apple Small Business Program enrolment in the same pass — see the SBP guide.
- Phased release, version bumps,.
Wanilla prepares your submission within 4 working days, ready for you to submit from your own Apple Developer account; Apple reviews and makes the final decision, and review times are outside our control. Add native IAPs and push notifications in the same submission to ship a complete v1.

The submission checklist we work through before you press send
- Apple Developer account in the right entity name, with two-factor set up and the correct role assigned.
- Bundle ID, certificates and provisioning profiles created on your account, so you own the app permanently.
- In-app purchases created, priced in every territory, and attached to the build — the top cause of first-round rejection.
- Privacy nutrition labels that match what your app genuinely collects, plus a reachable privacy policy URL.
- Screenshots at each required device size, an icon with no transparency or rounded corners baked in, and a description free of competitor or platform names Apple objects to.
- Age rating, export compliance and content rights answered correctly.
- Demo credentials and reviewer notes — a reviewer who cannot get past your login rejects the build within hours.
- A TestFlight pass on a real device before submission, checking cold start, offline behaviour, purchase, restore and push.
Apple's review itself usually takes 24–48 hours, though it can stretch during peak periods such as the weeks before the holidays; that part is outside anyone's control, which is why everything above is checked first.
